Established in 1982, Allen Brackett Shedd (formerly known as Bruce C. Allen & Associates, Inc.) has been providing real estate appraisal and consulting services for an expanding client base throughout the Pacific Northwest. Our client list includes many municipalities and public entities, a wide range of small and large companies, law firms, individuals, as well as most major financial institutions.

We provide appraisals for all types of commercial real estate, as well as specializaed properties such as airports, master planned communities, industrial waterfront, and timberlands. We have a broad range of experience in areas such as LIDs, special benefit studies, highest and best use analysis, tax appeals, conservation easements, transferable development rights analysis, and corridor valuations. Our appraisals are used for financing, sale, purchase, asset management, court proceedings, and condemnations. The firm also maintains longstanding relationships with a variety of consultants to facilitate its “team approach” to solving complex real estate issues.

Our company is comprised of two MAI appraisers, and a total of twelve associate appraisers, of which five are senior State-certified general appraisers. We have an excellent support staff providing the necessary research and production capabilities to handle projects of all sizes. We utilize the latest computer technology allowing us proficient processing of reports and a responsive turnaround time. Our data bank is updated daily and is readily accessible to our staff through an integrated data retrieval system, giving us the ability to respond to demanding and sometimes shifting deadlines.

In addition to completion of studies and preparation of comprehensive reports, the firm's involvement in major projects has included presentation of study results and conclusions to municipalities and citizens, both in public hearings and in meetings with individual citizens as necessary. The firm has an excellent and well deserved reputation as expert witnesses in cases involving complex valuation and analysis issues. Presentations at public hearings and to concerned citizens have often been key to resolving problems and disputes during public processes.
